Let me first say that I had contrived this particular date!
After last week's lovely bit of serendipity, I wanted a repeat, yes I did.
I had deliberately searched for a movie with that name as a featured player, whether it was as a character or the actor's true appellation.
I was thrilled to not only succeed, but to do so with little effort!
Plus, good fortune graced me with a movie I'd not seen!
Given the female star power in this film, I'm surprised to have missed it.
Then again, in 2005, I was married, working full-time, and teaching part-time.
I wasn't quite the film-watcher that I have been since the divorce.
But enough of all that!
Jim Reed's ramblings on the PFS nights twice weekly are having an effect on me -
cue horror movie sound effects -
BWAH HA HA!!!
(smile!)
So, just what was the cine du jour?
Here's a hint: it was a modern romantic comedy.
Let me start by referring to its stars:
Jennifer Lopez -
Jane Fonda -
Wanda Sykes -
and a surprise appearance by Elaine Stritch!
"Monster-in-Law" was truly all about the women!
It was!
Even the central guy, Kevin Fields, was linked to all four!
The first was his fiancee -
the second was his mom -
the third was the honorary auntie -
and the fourth was his paternal grandmother!
And, guess what his line of work was?
He was a heart surgeon!
Get it?
The movie is all about romance and love and planning a wedding...
and his specialty is working with hearts!
I don't know if that little tidbit was intended as an inside joke or not, but I'm certainly regarding it that way!
Michael Vartan did an excellent job as the man in the middle.
His age was just right, too, for this evening.
I just love it when a plan all falls together!
(smile!)
Now, I wonder what I can find for the next Tina Tuesday?
LOL!

LOL!
The running bear would have liked the second movie, for sure!
That was "Blue Streak", of 1999, with Martin Lawrence.
The bear is a big fan of that one.
(smile!)
Guess what?
I have already searched for - and found! - two movie choices for Tina Tuesday on August 11th!
One is with Kevin Hart and the other with Kevin Bacon, and that one is in the lead since it is 'new to me".
Still, I like the pun with the first one's name, in regard to the medical specialty of the "Kevin" in this movie.
So good to have choices!
(smile!)
Plus, I gave blood earlier on that Tuesday!
The American Red Cross just sent me this link to a video about giving blood.
Nice!
