birthday32 celebration for michael

Hahaha haha!
Why on Earth does the birthday gent wear such a quizzical expression upon his visage?
He had just pulled out the final gift in the bag and I had him stumped.
"Was this a present meant for him or for his soon-to-be-six daughters?" was surely the query posed by his eyebrows as he glanced at me, his Aunt and giver of the odd.

"They aren't books, it's a game," I told him.
"At least that's what I envisioned when I ordered them!"
I had even written the directions down so I would remember my logic.
Close eyes, open book, point to a picture, then say the word and spell it, maybe writing it, too.
That makes learning fun!
I know he and his girls will enjoy it, and he really liked the Star Trek shirt I gave him.

The shirt, with the insignia as a black-on-black design, actually goes with this card.
No, not with the little sloth, though that made him smile.
(smile)
"Wishing you bright trails ahead as you chart your course."
Those were the words of advice I had inscribed within.
These last two years have been fraught with invisible trees, but he is learning to navigate through them.
i thank You, God.

Tonight, though, was a celebration!
Sure, maybe it was a day late, but that just meant his birthday had been extended!
How could we know it was a birthday?
Well,, why else would there be a cake with his name on it?
A great, lovely, chocolate cake!
His younger sister, Chelsea, did a most excellent job of carving it with that little knife - lol!

There's his other sister, Christina, aka 'my first niece'.
Her two little blonde girls are right there, with Miyah snuggled close and Chloe in a high chair to keep her put.
They were ready for the special show to start!
What show would that be?
The live cooking show at Sawa Hibachi in Pooler!!!
What an amazing restaurant to visit in a pandemic!

Such a wonderful outing for a family!
The chef was so entertaining and he kept up a clatter with the metal spatulas to make it exciting!
How quickly he scrambled the eggs and magically turned the white rice into fried rice!
How glorious all of the food smelled as it cooked!
What bright colors the vegetables had on the grill!
And, best of all, how tantalizing those flavors were!!!
And, after his show was complete, how quiet everyone at our table became...
too busy eating that freshly prepared dinner to keep up the chatter!
Even before he was done, Alyssa (on the left) and Leila (on the right edge) were taking in the fried rice with much gusto!
Coming here was an excellent decision, Michael - most excellent!
(smile!)
