The VA sent an email to encourage me to get the annual flu shot.
CVS has the contract with VA, so I diddybopped over there after Michael's dinner.
Nope.
They did not have some code they needed and, after twenty minutes, referred me elsewhere.
Determined to cross that task off my list, I bounced on over to the all-night Walgreens.
Nope.
They didn't have that contract with VA for 2020, but they'd be glad to give me the shot for forty dollars.
Ack.
I resolved to go to the Savannah VA on Monday afternoon before the matinee of "Sonic The Hedgehog"...
and so I did, looking forward to getting that immunization.
Nope.
They were already closed, as 2 PM is end of day now for them.
However, the nurse suggested another site on the VA list.
Fine.
Yesterday, upon my return from the Pooler excursion, I went straight to the Walmart pharmacy for the shot.
Nope.
They had the code they needed, but were told I needed to give them a ten-digit identification number for my VA insurance.
Well, I certainly have never had any such creature.
Ack.
So I resolved to give it one more try.
Today, I traversed Savannah from midtown to southside, arriving at the Ralph Johnson VA Center around 1 PM.
Five minutes later, I was walking back to my car, bandage on my arm -
success!!!
Whew.
i thank You, God.
Elated, I ventured over to the Target for groceries, as I actually had that card in hand.
I loaded up on canned goods: black beans, garbanzos, corn, RoTel NSA tomatoes & green chilies, tuna, chicken breast, soup.
All were foods I'd needed for a while, to give my pantry a function.
My odometer had 214213 -
on my way to a palindrome!
(smile!)
