After going to her laundromat for ten years, I had asked her if she would like to have a facebook page for her business.
Nami Deschenes had laughed, but told me that would be fine, if I wanted to set it up.
And so I had, with "Wash Plus" making its official debut on December 16, 2014.
This was the first photograph of the place, showing the variety of machine sizes, plus the greenery and wall decor to make it feel more personable.
Periodically I would post additional photos and add little quips to go along, too.
Even after Jose and Abby brought the business from her two years ago, I still maintained the business page, even changing its name to "Sandfly Laundry".
No worries, I just kept on tending it, responding to any queries, referring folks to the new owners.
Well, they sold it in May to the drycleaners next door.
When I saw this flyer, I talked to Ambar about it and she verified that Clifton Cleaners was the new owner.
I posted the image to fb and let folks know the page would soon be taken down.
I had given it two weeks, then set about deleting the page...
but was unsuccessful.
That was at the end of May and I was rather flustered by life events, so I put the matter out of my mind.
Today was the day, I decided.
I found out how to delete the business page that I had set up seven years ago, writing down the steps to follow...
and...
success!
The site allows 14 days for me to change my mind, but then it will be gone.
That page will then be one less thing weighing on my mind.
Good.

Well, rats.
I just checked and stoopid ol' facebook still has it up.
Hmmm...
So, now I have clicked the button to "unpublish the page", which them required me to choose a reason.
So, I was truthful: the business no longer exists.
Their response was: okay, it's no longer visible to others, but it will still show up to you.
Whatever...
stoopid ol' facebook.
Okay, I finally did it!
I had to slog through a list of "business page" options, disabling each as I did so, but, at last, the page has been removed!!!
Hallelujah!
Now, to go to bed!
