gift of stained glass windows

It seems like years since I sat on one of the chairs in the sanctuary and looked up at those beautiful windows, set in that glorious framing of white trim and white ceiling and fresh peach walls.

Those tones, along with the peach and green and white in the panes, really sets the mood for gratefulness, do they not?

Gratefulness for this man-made building...

gratefulness for the people in this congregation...

gratefulness for the man who ministers to us...

gratefulness for being part of this religious family and for playing a part in the 2009 renovations...

gratefulness for the safety inside these walls.

I caught a tickle in the back of my throat early on in Billy's sermon and had to leave to get it under control.

I'm grateful for that coughing spell, as it allowed Candace and Claudette to show care for me.

I'm grateful for that sinus issue, as it allowed me to have this vantage point upon my return to the church for the last part of "Rooted In Christ".

I'm grateful to have this view of Billy Hester on his stage, joyously preaching hope and love to all there and promising changes for the better coming soon.

I'm so very grateful.

i thank You, God.
