did someone say "bananas"?

I was pretty late getting to my second game.

Honestly, if Tony had not called - causing me to look at the clock - I might have been even later!

As it was, I heard them doing that "Banana Baby" thing as I exited my car, out in the way-back lot, near where Bill the artist once lived.

By the time I finally gained entry and loaded up my butterfly tote with food, the first inning was underway and the only spot for me was up against the upper fence, standing.

I spent the first three innings there, then left the walkway for the children to run.

After getting a new soda, with lots of ice, I settled into the picnic area for the next two innings.

What a great vantage point for watching the Bananas repeatedly load up the bases!

No grand slams, but the boys did get two more runs!

That made seven total, with two being courtesy of the Burgers' fumble-fingered catcher.

By the top of the sixth inning, I was back in the grandstand and only three seats away from my cherry seat of the first game - hooray!

So when the teams did their "salute To The Troops" in the 7th inning, I was right there to get a hand shake from the Man In The Yellow Tux!

He was taking selfies in the area, on this "Bark In The Park" night, so he was right there to do that!

Right place, right time!

I stayed until the top of the 9th, then headed for the car.

The Spartanburgers managed another run to bookend the one in the first inning, but the game was over by the time I reached my Saturn.

Good game, ya'll!

I just have one question: What has become of the Seventh-Inning Stretch???
