happy birthday, dr. seuss!

Theodore Seuss Geisel would have been 117 years young today - hooray!

What a richer world we live in because of him!

He was clearly decades ahead of his time with his thoughts of equality for all and the shallowness of paying heed only to the outside of a person and not to their heart or their mind, the harm done by not even looking more than skin deep.

This week has been dedicated to Dr. Seuss and the legacy he provided to children of all ages in all nations with his message of unity for all Earthlings - hooray!

This is the silly hat my first niece crafted for the littlest girl to wear with her "Thing 1" outfit for class - isn't it adorable?

Even Mayor Van Johnson as in a Seussian frame of mind for his weekly address this morning! I don't know if the address was after he read one of the books on Facebook or before, but he had a poem that the good doctor would most def have approved!

"Please wear your mask in a house,

please wear your mask with a mouse,

please wear your mask here and there,

please wear your mask everywhere."

There was more, but that's the part that stayed with me.

How glorious to recognize "Green Eggs And Ham" as the inspiration!

I wonder what other frivolity this day holds?
