It's time for the 23rd Annual Chemluminary Awards from the American Chemical Society!
(No, I had not ever heard of these, either.)
(Honestly, had Will Lynch not sent me the email about them a few days ago, so I could register for the ZOOM link, then I still would not know about they existed.)
(Actually, what he had sent was the invitation to attend, which is why I had never heard of them. Like that American Red Cross awards event, you only get invited if you are one of those nominated for an award.)
This group of awards, most of which had been for 2020, also included this category: 2019 Outstanding Regional Meeting.
Our local ACS section had received kudos for hosting SERMACS two years ago!
Woot woot!
Four other sections had apparently hosted well in other areas of the USA, and one of them won...
but, what an honor to be up for this award!
Thanks, Will, for letting me know so I could "be" there for the ceremony!
Now, I'm off to catch Tom Petty at the cinema!
(smile!)
