on my chinny, chin, chin!

"Great horned toads! Is that what I think it is?"

Well, that completely depends on what you think it is. As I cannot read your mind - nor can anyone read anyone else's mind on this blue-green orb - suppose you tell me what you think it is and I'll let you know if you're correct. How 'bout that?

"Okay, well let me begin by saying I thought it might be a marble surface."

Amazingly, that's pretty close. The substrate is porcelain.

"The substrate is... oh, the background, got ya."

Yes, as I said, that part is correct.

"Porcelain, you say? I'm guessing it must be the bathroom sink, as the kitchen sink is made of stainless steel."

Again, still correct on surface composition, as well as surface location.

"What could those curved dark things be? Oh, no, they're chin whiskers!!!"

Ding, ding, ding!!! You got it! While watching Sam Beckett get lost in the Bermuda Triangle, I was rubbing my chin and noticed them. That meant they had to go!

"Just how long has it been since you plucked???"

Well, I had felt them while in Hilton Head, but didn't have my tweezers, so they had a reprieve. I know I had not plucked before then, either, which is why I felt so many of them. Perhaps I should have thought to remove them once I was home, but...

"...but it wasn't on your mind, so it didn't matter."

Correct. With the pandemic still in effect and me wearing masks so often, I just haven't paid much attention to the facial hair. No one is gonna see my whole face, so why bother?

"Well, it might have been nice to have a clean chin earlier tonight."

Sure, but I didn't think about it earlier.

"Still, I am sure Carolyn would have liked to not see those bristles waving about while y'all were talking and eating at Bonefish."

Hey, I know she understands. The very fact that I was dressed in clean clothes and there in person was the main thing. Heck, she probably wouldn't have cared if the shirt was stained or had holes in it! The company was important, not the package.

"I know, but she always dresses nicely for y'all's outings, so maybe a clean chin would have been good."

What ev.

"Subject dropped. What'd jeet?"

Hahahaha! That reminds me of a funny 'conversation' on fb with Danny Torres a couple of weeks ago! Slang southern can be a blast!

"Still begging the question, dear."

(smile!) I ate the beef and ginger dumplings! They came with so much slaw underneath that I could have foregone the salad. Hey, I didn't know! This was my first time for this choice.

"So, it was tasty, eh? Good to have a new option!"

Indeed. After our leisurely slunch, we went to "The Many Saints of Newark". That was not as good as expected - very discombobulated. Good actors, but not much direction, I thought, and certainly not much plot.

"But it finished up your A*List, I see."

Yes, it at least had that going for it.

"And how did Carolyn like it?"

Well, she had not seen "The Sopranos", even though I didn't think that was important. None of those original actors are in this movie. What had really surprised me was that she had not seen "Venom".

"Really? Seems she would have seen it with Hai, if not you."

That's what I thought, but not so. Still, she knew I would want to see the new one, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage", and she seemed to enjoy it. I loved it! I loved it even more since Tom Hardy wrote the script and produced it, as well as being the lead character. Plus.. Woody Harrelson chews scenery so very well! Hahahaha!

"Heard! And that first one? It doesn't seem mainstream."

"Courageous" certainly was not, but I've enjoyed the other movies in this series of faith-based films. I'm not sure if the lead guy was in the first one I saw ten years ago, but he may well have been. I liked the message of fathers supporting each other in the raising and taking care of their children and families.

"Oh, yes, I remember "Fireproof". I think we watched that with your first niece."

Quite possibly! Okay, time for me to start winding down for bed. Later!

"Sweet dreams, dear!"
