tcb and tc me, too

I just know that Elvis would approve of my appropriating the acronym for his catchphrase!

Knowing I'd be giving blood, I made sure to have plenty of protein with brunch: pepperoni omelet pizza was perfect!

And "Psych", with the police force playing weekend warriors, was purr-fect to entertain me - my thanks, and the pun, to the physicist!

Speaking of, I'll be dining with the bfe on Monday!

But not so fast to exit the yard - oh, no!

The butterflies were out en masse, sipping at the springs of nectar tucked into those many flowerlets of the lantana.

This golden-winged beauty was the only one of its kind that I spotted... and that's another little joke of wordplay!

I must have spent at least fifteen minutes, flitting from bush to bush, looking to see what was visiting!

Then I popped on southside, hoping the Red Cross would allow me to donate, even though I had no appointment.

And they did!

And Whitney gave me the last enameled mug they had from the Labor Day promotion... and told me she was glad I was the one getting it!

How very kind of her!!!

She and I had been talking about her recent sky-diving experience, and I just might have to give that a try after all.

It's always been a glib thing to say, "like jump out of perfectly good airplanes", when they caution me about not doing anything strenuous after my donation.

Then she told me of her doing that very thing, as part of a tandem jump, for her birthday this summer, that it had been something she'd long wanted to do.

But, here's the best part: SHE TOUCHED A CLOUD!!!!

And, surprisingly, it was hot! It wasn't cold like she'd expected!

Wow.

Yeah, I may need to reconsider skydiving... but not today.

I walked on over to Carrabbas and had slunch, selecting the Mahi Wulfe I adore, with the penne pomodoro and that iron-rich sauteed spinach... how delectable!

The sound of thunder had crept into the restaurant, with the rain still sheeting down as I exited.

Rather than run for the car, I sat on the porch and watched, waiting it out, breathing in that freshened air - ahhhhh, so nice!

The storm was done, its gray clouds moving on, in just about twenty minutes, leaving blue sky in its wake.

Plenty of time for me to fill up at the cheap gas station before heading to midtown for a movie!

Nothing strenuous, right?

This little good-hearted story about believing in oneself certainly was exactly what the good folks at the Red Cross would have ordered for me!

Right place, right time... all day long!
