lunch from my brother!

Gorgeous, ain't it?
Smitty and Mary had low country boil last night...
and, knowing he would see me today, he set some aside...
just to share with me, his one-and-only sister!
It was quite tasty, too!
The corn was especially flavorful, like it had nutmeg in it.
Yummy!
We got together today to take care of the quarterly taxes and the sales tax for his business.
Yes, he is still working.
Yes, I thought he was retiring last January, as he was 59 1/2 then.
Yes, I'm fairly certain his wife said she didn't want him hanging about the house.
LOL!
While I waited for him, I surveyed the piles of damage from the fire at the J.C. Clements furniture building.
That's been a few months ago now.
My guess is the coffee pot was left on in the gym office, as that's where the flame began.
Not my circus, not my monkeys!
(smile!)
As for this photo of the week's forecast, doesn't it look like notes for a song?
I have to wonder what Mother Nature is singing at this time of year, as it has a lot of ups and downs to the lilt!
It isn't like the summer months, or those of winter, either - those are fairly monotone in scope, with little variation along the way.
Maybe, some time when I'm least distracted, I'll do a little study and see if I can develop a lyric for the spring melody...
but that won't be today!
"The X-Files" is about to come on!
i thank You, God, for this new addition to Comet tv!
